Announcements: Servers will be returning soon!

Hard Drives Purchased! Thanks to everyone for their donations we have purchased the new drives, we will be rebuilding the server and should have it up sometime this weekend. :)

*Reminder* Check the forum post about what servers we should put back up. Since most server configs were lost everything is going to be reconfigured from scratch. We can run virtually any kind of game server and we are not limited to srcds games, given dedicated server files will be a requirement.

Good News:Our Battlefield Bad Company 2 Server has been going smoothly. It has been quite popular and has consistently been full for weeks. Thanks goes out to the admins working hard to keep the server clean and fun for all. Posted below is the live server status for the Right To Rule server. Show your support and add us to your favorites if you have not already!.

Announcements: Bigbox went down, read below for the info....

Hello everyone,

Today we had two hard drives fail in our server (BIGBOX) located in Dallas resulting in all of our server data being erased. We have daily backups of the web site, teamspeak, stats and a few other resources. We are working hard right now to get the fundamentals back online, unfortunately the same cannot be said about the game servers as we are without the hard drives to replace the ones that failed. All game servers besides the externally hosted Bad Company 2 Server will unfortunately be down until the hard drives get replaced and the server os and vm's are reinstalled. If you enjoy our servers and want to help us out please do! We are in desperate need of any paypal donation you could provide in our time of need as this new equipment is needed as soon as possible. Any donation made will be credited with the usual reserve slots or even more pending the amount. Announcements: Hard Drive Failure in BigBox

Some of you were asking why the game servers started lagging today so we looked into it and found out that we lost one hard disk out of the four in our raid array. This puts the box in a low performance mode but still preserves the data. We are working on getting this resolved asap so please stay tuned for more information!

UPDATE 5/27/10
We got the hosting company to toss another drive in the bay and as it turns out that one is not powering on either. Tomorrow Stripsteak is making a repeat visit to the data center to try and resolve the issue. Hopefully its just a loose cable or something. Cross your fingers everyone for a simple resolution!

Announcements: EA fails at public servers

Wondered why you can't play in our server? Here's why:

There appears to be an EA Online outage affecting not only Bad Company 2, but other EA games as well. The EA UK forums also have some news about a new server build (R5) that is going out soon and will be applied by tomorrow evening.

DICE has also asked server providers to shut down all public servers and not setup anymore clan / rental servers while they work on optimizing the server browser.

Announcements: Webserver crashed.... Recovered from the 14th

Last night the web server crashed lagging out some servers and such, ultimately resulting in data loss and downtime for the web site and teamspeak. Unfortunately we had to revert to the latest backup taken last Sunday February 14th and as a result the web site has lost any new users and posts made since then. We apologize for this unusual occurrence and we are committed to bringing the best experience possible to the gamers and supporters of the Right To Rule Community. If anyone needs any help feel free to contact any member for assistance!

Special thanks goes out to Lolazor and The-Killer for taking the time out from today to rebuild the server from scratch giving me the opportunity to proudly announce that all services are backup and functioning! Again, sorry for the recent downtime and data loss, it seems we are having a bad stroke of luck lately with the BigBox..

October is here and in full swing! Hope you got your costume together, because Halloween is only 25 days away! Yours truly will be going as the funkadelic kung-fu master, Chocolate Jones. When the end comes, he won't notice, because he will be too busy looking good.

For you console gamers out there, here is my official endorsement: BRUTAL LEGEND deserves a definite rental if not a purchase. Tim Schafer is involved, the same Tim Schafer that brougt us Monkey Island, so you know there will be clever dialogue and intriguing plotlines. The demo is currently available for PS3 and XBOX360 consoles. Be forewarned...once downloaded, you will be wanted to ROCK

Also, for those who did NOT lose their training bras when Valve made a sequel to Left 4 Dead, if you act now, you can preorder Left 4 Dead 2 and get 10 percent off at the Steam store. Of course if you have 4 friends (and if you're in RTR you will) you can get the 4 pack and save over 11 bucks per game! I don't know about you, but I am ready to slay some clowns and bitchslap some more tanks down in N'Orleans.

As always people, RTR is recruiting MATURE gamers over the age of 18. If you are interested, and do not mind having more gamer buds than you know what to do with, then slap on an [r] at the end of your gamename, fill out an application and let the good times roll!
