It took us 45 mins to get the servers live and the database back up and functional, everything else was just waiting :(. Fri, 29 Aug 2008 02:33:35 -0400 http://righttorule.com/Article41.html As of now we have experienced an outage on our dedicated server host that we are trying to get resolved and get our resources back online. Due to the nature of the outage our main resources are down and will return shortly in a limited mannor. We are at this time going to do a full backup and do a clean install on the box itself that will resolve these core issues with our server which until now has experienced very little down time. We plan to work on this project though the night and all day tomorrow to get these issues resolved and do a clean install of every resource and then restore our configs, stats, banlist and teamspeak. Please be patient durring this process because this will not be an easy task. I do request that you post in our forums about the downtime and let us know your thoughts and feelings. We would like to really find how many people utilize the resources of Right To Rule outside of our membership group and enjoy what we provide. When you get up into the top 10 you have earned it. So we feel giving you a chance to keep your rank is important since so many people want to take it from you. Starting September 1st we will give the top 10 NON [ЯтR] Members a free reserve slot to join the server even when its full. This will be given out for Team Fortress 2 and Day of Defeat Source Servers. Get your ranks up, on the first the round of slots will be given out! Right To Rule Leaders Thu, 21 Aug 2008 15:28:46 -0400 http://righttorule.com/Article39.html Valve has made another bundlerful update to TF2 and is still causing lots of problems with the dedicated servers, 2fort had been experiencing this issue since this past weekend and will be down untill valve gets their stuff figured out. Goldrush will be kept up as much as possible, and Dustbowl will stay active as problems permit. As such all of the servers will be experiencing issues most likely and we will be trying to minimize them but please bear through it. Push through the bad waters and keep getting the kills! Since the update for DoD:S to the Orangebox engine we have been steadily gaining popularity once again. Mon, 07 Jul 2008 19:35:38 -0400 http://righttorule.com/Article37.html Today we made some changes to our HLStatsX implementation. These changes may not be immediatly evident to all the users by the should help keep the stats fair for all the players, and not so one sided for the players with fewer points. The changes made today will increase the reduced points earning period players experience. There is one exception however, after 250 kills players will no longer recieve only 2 points. They will recieve normal points reduced by 1/4 the value they would normally recieve per kill. The person they kill will lose 1/2 the points they used to. This will last until they have accumulated 500 kills. Here is a quick example of how the new system works If a player with 2000 points killed someone with 20,000 points they would recieve 30 points in the old system, and the person they killed would lose 22. Under the new system they will recieve 23 points, and the person they killed will lose 17. The current logo is somewhat old and new revisions will be added but the old one will still be available. Also some money is made from purchases there and goes to help support the community. We have had some issues in the past with large numbers of members, but this time is different. We have given more members more admin rights to help the only people that really matter in the eyes of RtR, the gamers who grace our servers. More members, means more donations (hopefully, though not at ALL necessary) which means more servers, which means more players playing on those servers, which means RtR's name will spread. All this spells out is, RtR is just getting bigger, and even better. Also, we have done away with division leaders, we are trying to get back to our roots, we are a community first, a clan second.
